Booker T Washington Vision Plaza

VCS Architects is proud to provide full design and construction document services for the new Statue Plaza at Booker T. Washington High School, located at 4204 Yale Street, Houston, TX.

This transformative project focuses on creating a meaningful plaza space to honor the school’s legacy. Our scope includes the complete site plan, landscape and irrigation design, electrical and lighting plans, structural engineering for the statue, decorative rocket feature, and amphitheater seating. We are also delivering civil engineering solutions, including drainage systems, utility plans, and 500-year floodplain mitigation, in alignment with City of Houston requirements.

From topographical surveys to construction administration and final project closeout, VCS Architects leads this effort with a hands-on approach, ensuring a smooth process from design to delivery.
